My name is Vincent Broer (1988). Ever since I was young, I have been interested in trucks and large machines. After my 14th birthday, I had saved enough money to buy a digital camera. With the Fujifilm Finepix A204, I would ride my bike to take pictures of the trucks in the vicinity of my former hometown of Papendrecht. I would search industrial areas and visit transport companies.

However, just capturing the truck was often not enough for me; the background had to be beautiful or fitting as well. More and more often, I would visit companies and ask drivers if they would be willing to drive a bit for a nice shot. A wooded environment with grass in the foreground was my preference. With the acquisition of my driver’s license, the possibilities of taking photos grew. I soon started visiting festivals and companies abroad. The digital archive has grown tremendously in the past 20 years, with a rough estimate of 125,000 different files. The number of different cars is much smaller. Sometimes, I take up to 100 photos of a single car.
